If that is really what your attorney told you, you need to get a new attorney.

Once you make a legal claim against the parents and the minor, you can say goodbye to that lucrative landscaping project you have with them.

I'll say this if the people on this board were as good at giving advice as they are at spell checking then I think everything in the world would be alright. Actually, the kid that shot me doesn't live at the house that I was working at. I was thinking that I would avoid the homeowners insurance for that property and go after the homeowners insurance for the parents of the kid who shot me. And why should I look for a new lawyer again, 3 to 5 times the damages seems reasonable to me, it would be somewhere between $3,000 and $5,000.
