I wasn’t the one spamming!

If you look at the main board, it appears that I have spammed the forum. It wasn’t me!!

A poster named BrentonAller created about 500 spam posts and I was reporting the spam and trying to send the old revived threads back to the archives. Unfortunately, threads were locked with my “back to the archives” posts still in the spam-revived threads.

So … if anyone decides to look at my posting history on this forum, what you will see is not reflective of my overall content but only the spam-fighting content of a few hours today.

I will say that just posting “to the archives” in response to all of the questions posed on the forum might be a bit of a time-saver. Haha.

Don’t be a Brenton or a Gren, folks! Stay in school! And don’t do drugs.

I think it might be useful to go back to limiting "new" users posts to 10 per day.

The spamming's gotten ridiculous. I miss Mary.

It no doubt would help if some of the senior-most members were given the power to zap spammers and their spam accounts as soon as the spammers showed up, so the main board is not left looking like an abandoned website for so long.

Brenton, Gren, and all of the rest of their crew have easily identifiable traits so it seems to me that it would be sort of easy to prevent them from registering in the first place. But then, I am not a technological wizard so it might be more complicated than I think.
