The spam accounts should be deleted/banned asap so we don't end up with walls of spam. Unless, of course, the intention is to kill the forum portion of the site. Which it may be.

I volunteered but I never got a response.

I just banned a spammer on thelaw.com. The post is caught in a filter and held there till a moderator approves it or takes other action. When I entered the approval queue, it told me that the poster shared an IP address with two other banned posters. I clicked a Spam button, hit Save, and voila! No spam post.

It's really easy if you just put a little effort into your spam filter.

Yes. I would ban with abandon.

Mary has an incredible tolerance for nonsense which most of the rest of us just don’t have.

Although a senior forum member might be a good choice because one of us is almost always around during the day/night, I can also see how someone totally independent of the forum probably would be better.

Nonsense is subjective to the person who formed that opinion. If the leader says it’s nonsense the blind loyal followers will agree. Mary was the best.

Yeah, that sounds frustrating! It’s good you were just trying to help clean up the spam. Sometimes when things get locked or threads revived, it can look messy from the outside.

This forum has had some pretty persistent spammers of late.

Worse than messy, IMO. Completely unprofessional and wouldn't entice anyone to use the owner's services.
