What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Mexico

Last year my sister in the state of Texas was involved in an accident(totaling her car) but in fear of her going to jail, she gave the deputy my name( no DL was presented). As the result, I received a citation, a non court appearance, and also ainsurance company is asking me to pay a balance of $6400.

Ive called the debt collectors as well they statedmy name is on the police report and the only way to fix it is to get a corrected police report. Ive tried that with no luck even providing proof it wasnt me. Ive also filed my own police report and Id theft affidavit as well here in NM. There is no judgement yet, but how can I prevent the possible judgement/ license suspension. I already have a citation and non court apprearance and everything is tied to this accident. The creditors says my sister can pay as long as I sign an affidavit stating that I was the driver. No im not doing that. Especially when I know its not me. I really dont want to send my own sister to court, but I figured there is a way providing proof without going that far. So I have any other options? Thanks in advance
