What is the name of your state? Kentucky
My problems started in 1991, but i wasnt aware of it til 1994 when a missouri highway patrolmen pulled me over. since then i been arrested 2 times(never finger printed either time) held for 4-6 hours both times and released. the charges were posession of master keys and lsd . the only blemish on my name is a failure to appear for a traffic ticket. i have been harrassed by the police and detained on the side of the road. i've been embarrased at the dmv's office where i now live in kentucky. i 've lost employment at a casino (went for 3 interviews)all because of the charges. i finally got horry county to drop the charges but they want a $100 re-instatement fee for my liscense and North Carolina wants a $50 fee b/c they suspended them b/c S.C. did.it took me 15 years to get the charges/warrants dropped . on june 6th 2006 horry county S.C. dropped charges . im a disabled person born with cerebal pausy, i had a atv accident in 1989 had major facial and head trauma. theres scars on my face and i have credible witnesses for my alibi of being in st.louis in 1991.(after my second arrest my family had st.louis county write up a paper stating it wasnt me) is there any laws that protect identity theft victims out there. My goodname is being ruined ... my liscense is suspended to this day...

This is why identity theft is so harmful -- all of these various agencies appear to be acting prefectly reasonably given the information they have in their position. UJnfortunately for you, probably the only remedy you have is to try and figure out who stole your identity, and then sue that person. If you are unable to do this, then all you can do is try and keep moving forward.

I agree w/ you completely. my only frustration with this is, after i've been arrested they should fingerprint me,and compare me to the thief.or they should of brought charges on me,or atleast let me see a picture of the thief. that is why they take pictures and finger print people right. plus they drop charges of master keys and LSD, serious charges but they keep my liscense suspended to make money.i've sent a letter to the S.C. dmv with the signed papers by the solicitor and the judge of the 15th district. hopefully this will get resolved soon. thank you for response.

america needs new laws to protect identity victims, and everyone needs to think about using a paper shredder. its to easy to lose your identity.
