What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
I had 1 child born in 2004 and a 2nd in 2005. I just received a judgement to pay support for $1500 a month. $550 for the first child and then $950 for the second. Does this make any sense? Why would they deem 1 child "worth"(lack of a better word) almost twice as much as the other? The second child has no special needs or anything 2 warrant. So lets assume If I had another child in 2006 would the amount then be almost 3 times of the first? I am just trying to figure out how they would come up with 2 different amounts since it all comes from 1 income. I would think it would be 50/50.
