What is the name of your state?OH

My vehicle was repo-ed today. I need to get keys out of it. My wife's keys. The repo person said I would have to pay the per day dollar fee ($2) plus $32.00 before i could get any property from the vehicle. Is this correct? They make strict appointments as well.

Thanks!

HG are you kidding ???

They are YOUR belongings and they must give you access and the opportunity to retrieve your PERSONAL belongings from the car. The lender has rights to the VEHCILE but has NO rights to your personal property that's in it ! I don't believe they have a leg to stand on to charge you for YOUR property - they're not using storage space for the items, the storage cost is for the VEHICLE and they can't make you pay that either - that comes after they sell the car at auction, they'll tack those fees onto the deficiency amount.

Have a look at OH laws and specifically the Uniform Commercial Code section.
