Ignition Interlock?? needed?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina

I have been sentenced, completed my substance abuse classes and have about 3 months left on revocation of my license. I received two letters from the DMV that state nothing in regards to having a device installed on my vehicle for reinstatement. I called the DMV and they said I just need to show up and pay the fee and that is it. Does this sound correct? Will they tell me this when I get there to make it more difficult on me? Any information would be appreciated.

Nobody has told you that you need the device installed and you contacted the DMV to confirm this. Why are you going on a fishing expedition for further expense and inconvenience?

I am not looking to spend out more money, just want to have everything satisfied so I can get my license back on that date not have to wait any longer. That was the reason for the question. I figured it would all have been directed upon my sentencing in court.

If the court didn't tell you that you need an interlock and the DMV didn't tell you that you need an interlock then who else do you think would tell you that you need an interlock?
