Hi, I have a 23 year old sister who came to the U.S. from Mexico City illegally when she was 11 years old, she has been here for 12 years now, was put in school, learned english, graduated from high school and my mother was able to put her in college for only two semesters she used her tax social security number and was accepted. My parents and I were able to apply and we got accepted but because she was over 18 years of age by the time they applied they didn't accept her in the paperwork. Her fiance is a former Corporal from the Marines and they plan to get married soon, will he be able to help her get her citizenship or at least her residency? What are the chances of her gettting legalized? thanks for your time and have a great day!

Ok, I agree she may have "violated" the U.S. but, I have heard of people in the same situation that are now either citizens or residents, How can this be? there has to be better answers than yours.

MY RESPONSE: May have? No, deary, she did. She wasn't born here, she didn't apply to be here, therefore she did, in fact, violate U.S. Immigration laws. No doubt about it.

MY RESPONSE: Sure there is. Do things the legitimate way, and don't violate our laws. But, if she's somewhere, sometime, when a "Raid" occurs, she'll be in INS lockup waiting for months for a Deportation Hearing. Then, she'll be shipped back to a country of which she knows little about.
