What is the name of your state? Ca
My son is working for Halliburton based in Houston Texas in Baghdad Iraq inside Camp Victory an Army base. His job description is recreation and entertainment for the soldiers. He is highly qualified; he provided the same service for the Army in Germany as a Government employee. He was EX Army Special Forces air assault ranger until wounded in Afghanistan. His immediate supervisor for Halliburton and my son do not get along. He does thing by the book and she does not. Two weeks ago my son filed a complaint about a fellow worker who was not working and doing his job. This person was a friend with my son’s supervisor. That person was transferred. She has tried to get rid of my son for the past 3 months without success. Now she laid him off stating cutbacks. My son said 2 new employees are now in the same position and office as my son once was in and they are interviewing more. There is much more but you get the drift. Does he have any recourse! He will be arriving home in Ca on Friday.

No, he doesn't have any recourse. His employer is free to lay him off for any lawful reason. Your son doesn't get along with his supervisor. That's a perfectly legal reason to terminate his employment.
