Are there any requirement to instructing a Dental Assistant Workshop in Illinois? illinois has strict laws on opening up vocational schools. I'm trying to figure out if this scenerial would fall under a Vocational School Business or Private Consulting business that teaches a workshop.

I would like to start a business where I would be instructing a group of people on the basic principals of being a Dental Assistant. I would be renting a dental office space on Sundays to hold these instructional workshops. The duration of such workshop would last a total of 12 Sundays and the individuals would listen to my lectures as well as hands on practices with proper tools that are used by a dental assistant.

Technically Dental Assistants do not have to be licensed in Illinois. As long as you get on the job training you don't need to posess a certificate. This would be a workshop to prepare them for a potential dental assistant job.

Would this type of workshop have to be certified by the Illinois State Board of Education?
