washington state--
i have been batteling with my ex-wife for 24years. while we were married she gave birth to a child of another man. because we were married i had no choice but to have my name on the birth-cirtificate. however a few years later and one biological son with her, we filed for divorce. in the divorce i was considered the father, and at that time could not afford a paternity test.-- to make the long story short, i disputed support enforcement about the paternity, i even had a letter written from her where she states that the child is not mine and his real fathers name. i presented this to support enforcement, but they told me there was nothing i could do because my name was on the birthcirtificate.-- my question is is there a law that allows me(provided i show evidence) to sue my ex-wife for the extortion of my assets and money for the past 24+years. the child is not mine, even today i call attorneys and they have told me there is nothing i can do, but i believe there has got to be a way to retrieve some of the nearly $50,000 i payed to her in support. support enforcement did not offer me any help in establishing paternity, i was turned down everytime it was brought up over the past 24years.
