i am dating a guy who's wife left him in January of 2001 can i legally date him now with out getting him in trouble and making it easier for his ex to get full custody of their child? Thier divore hearing is in December.

simular situation but...

i reside in texas. this is a good question, my husband of 9 yrs, we separated in nov 2000, no court date for divorce has been seeing a girl now for about 2 months maybe.. i didn't think to ask, but is there a law about this? what are the ramifications? especially when theres children involved.
