What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?

I have been in NY for 8 years and I am illegal in the country. I can't work, I can't go to school. I apply for my resident papers but no answer. What can I do to be legal in the country.

And yet you are collecting unemployment and studying, according to your other posts.
Why should you be allowed to be a legal resident? ie, under what basis are you applying? How did you get here & what have you been doing for the past 8 years?
