I was visiting the us from Sept. until Dec 2000, fell in love and because I have an internet business, I was able to take the time off to be with my boyfriend from Jan 2001-april 2001...we came up to canada to see/him to meet my parents...and I was denied reentry into the USA for 5 years, because I was nannying illegally down there(I had a note written to my friend whose child I would take care of occasionally for a few bucks). After being Harrassed at the border, I was told that I could not return. My boyfriend and I aren't really at the marriage stage, but want to be together.(of course)...What are my options? here are some questions that I have:
1) if I filed a waiver how long would it take?
2) what are the probabilities for getting this approved?
3) how can we make this actually happen?
4) could I have filled a harrasment claim versus the INS officer who was treating me poorly?
5) of course divorce is unfortunate, and I hope to be with my boyfriend/husband forever, but the question remains...how long do you 'need' to be married to qualify to stay in the USA if divorce is necessary?
6) Can a prenup. be created, to protect each of our assets?

please help me !!!!
