I have a 25 yo female friend from the Phillipines who met her 51 yo husband via the internet. They were married on and continue to live in Minnesota since 6/3/2000. Her husband had bad auto accident in 4/2001 and has serious brain damange. (acts like a little boy at times/curses a lot/uses a lot of vulgar sexual language) All the doctors/psychatrists say he''ll probally be like this the rest of his life. While she still loves him and visits him everyday at the nursing home, she has decided she wants to divorce him and move on w/her life. (though she says she will continue to visit him) She wants to stay in USA but is affraid she'll be deported if she divorces. How long does she have to stay married in Minnesota before she can become a citizen and get the divorce?
