I am a US Citizen, My husband is not. We are planning to move to the US soon. Do we pay any taxes on monies brought into the US? Also, if we have money made out of the US but
leave it overseas will we pay taxes on this money later when we do bring the money to the US?

extra money?

well I dont have any advice for you about taxes, my problems are quite different being 'short of funds' sooooo if you cant decide what to do with your money, i'd gladly hold on to it for ya. :)..just a thought... SORRY i'm just trying to make light of the stress behind these questions, I know I've had enough of my own, i'm american my fiance isnt(british he is) we filed back in NOV. 2000 so he return home with me but now we're up against our meeting at the embassy and afraid that 'not enough money' is going to be the cause of them determining IF we are allowed to be together. BUT thats my story and this is YOUR post so I am sorry but as a peace offering I'll include 2 really helpful boards I scan now and then, that contain alot of the similar questions to yours. I wish you the best of luck :)
