Dear sir,

i would like to know about US immigration visa.

i am 28 years old and i am a citizen of India. i am also unmarried. My father is a Permanent Resident of united states and having a Green Card. he has already completed 5 years in the united states. He has also cleared citizen exam of united states during March 2001. He is going get Ooth & citizen certificate during end of this month (means during June 2001). My case has been filed for immigration on September 1995 by my father when he was Permanent Resident of US. So, I think, I have been put in F2B Category.

now, my father is going to become a citizen during June 2001.

i have few questions in my mind.

1. if my father gets a citizenship during june 2001, is it possible to transfer my file from F2B to F1 Category ? In which category I will be put after my father becomes a citizen ?

2. is it automatically transferred or my father has to apply ?

3. my father has filed my case for immigration during september 1995 when he was Permanent resident and now, he is going to become a citizen during june 2001. So, I want to know which date will be considered as a Priority date ? Sept. 1995 or june 2001

4. if Date of Sept. 1995 will be considered as a priority date than I can go to us immediately as currect date is May 1999. isn't it ?

thanks and awaiting for your immediate reply.

Nothing is ever automatic with the U.S. Immigration office.

Go through an immigration attorney, the few dollars you spend now will be well worth it. http://www.attorneypages.com
