I accidently cut someone off on the Interstate. After we exited we ended up going to the same place (church of all places). The two occupants of the other vehicle confronted me and one of them pushed me and wanted to fight. I'm 47 years old and about 5'7", they were both over six foot and about 17 to 19 years old. I was alone in the parking lot and didn't know what to do, so I told them I was a police officer. They left me alone and went in and told their dad. He called me outside and I told him I wasn't an officer .. just afraid. He reported me to the police and they are investigating with a potential to charge me with impersonationg a police officer. I know it's against the law but I didn't know what else to do. Am I in big trouble?

You said, "Am I in big trouble?".

Define 'big'.

If you are asking if you will have a chance to spend a few hours in a dark cell with 'Bubba', probably not (assuming you don't have a long list of 'priors').

If you are asking could you face charges and have to spend money on an attorney, and fines, and possible local jail time... yes.

However, no one can tell you what the real punishment could be since you didn't tell us what state (see the big RED text at the top of the screen???).
