What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TEXAS

I owe approximately $6,300 in child support arrears and want to offer my son's mother a 50% settlement -- if she agrees how should I proceed?
The case is active with the Attorney General's office...and I am currently making payments but would like to settle the arrears to avoid furthur interest payments.

You couldn't read what I posted on your wife's thread? Good grief. Why would she consent to a settlement? Why weren't you paying your child support? How much of the arrears is due the state? Is your son's mother receiving any state benefits? If she agrees to settle the amount OWED TO HER, you can both enter an agreed entry with the Attorney General's office and/or the court. If child support was set by court order -- enter the agreed entry in court. IF child support was set by administrative order then enter the agreed entry with CSEA.
