Facial scarring? Bleeding? Stitches? Pain and suffering? Future plastic surgery? And the list goes on. These are all factors that occured in my recent dog biting. This all happened in NJ. Can you give me an estimate of what this case might be worth?

My response:

No, I cannot give you an estimate because you didn't answer those questions, and there are too many other factors involved; e.g., the severity of each of those items, your age, sex, type of profession you're in, vulnerability to pain, the extent of the monetary damages (doctor bills), and whether the injuries are permanent. However, I can tell you that the amount of monetary damages I have received for my clients in similar circumstances was more money than they had ever held in their hands at one time.

See a personal injury attorney as soon as you can.

Good luck to you.

39 year old female, pharmacutical technician in a pharmacy. I have incruciating pain on the bridge of my nose, causing me to not be able to put my sunglasses on to drive. There was intense bleeding at the scene of the attack. There is a possibility of facial scarring which would bring up the possibilty of future plastic surgery. I had a visit with the doctor and was put on antibiodics. I also recieved a tetnus shot which caused extremem pain. My arm is temperarily weak from the shot causing me to not be able to lift heavy objects. In your opinon, what monetary damages could be involved? How much is going in my back pocket?

My response:

Okay, now all you have to do is relate all of this to your attorney for documentary evidence purposes. After you see your attorney, you'll also be going in for a Neurological workup, and in for a Plastic Surgery Consultation. I hope you took pictures of your face (preferably 35mm and not Polaroids). You've made a good start, so now all you have to do is point your car in the direction of your favorite attorney.

In order to get a really accurate answer, please provide this site with all your medical records, the cost of all your past treatment and whether you need future treatment and the cost; also provide us with your prognosis, whether you need additional surgery and the type of the surgery recommended. Also, as this case involves scarring, we need to see your picture. Also, please provide all facts about how the incident occured, as well as information on the dog, and the dog's owner. Pictures of them are needed too. Once we see this information, we can all act as jurors in your case coming up with our own numbers.
