I work in a retail store as the manager, I have been repeatedly threatened, and assulted bu customers who come into the store stealing mdse. There have been 2 direct threats on my life , and I have had guns, knives, pulled on me, as well as rocks thrown at me. I have reported this to my regional supervisor, as well as the home office, yet nothing has been done to make this a safe place to work, or have they answered my requests for a transfer to a different store.
I am now under a doctors care for psycological issues steaming from these repeated attacks. I have been diagnosed with PTSD as well as anti social dissorders that prohibit me from doing my job.
I have used up my FMLA leave, and now don't even have job security when I am cleared by my doctor's.
Isn't the employer responsible for some measure of safety for its workers from outside influence's?

Sounds to me like you should find a different line of work...
