On November 18, 2000 my son (33) sustained a serious head injury. He was taken to Galena Hospital (Galena, IL) for stiches and then transported to Mercy Hospital (Dubuque, IA) for a CT of his head. Upon reading the CT the hospital said that he had a blood clot in his head. Since they did not have a neurologist on staff they transported him to University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, IA for observation. The UIHC released him the next day but upon reviewing his medical records from the UIHC they did not give him another CT to check for the blood clot but rather gave him xrays of his spine. Due to this knowledge I belive I have a case against the UIHC in Iowa City, Iowa. Any suggestions? Remember my son died suddenly on April 13, 2001 in Dubuque, IA after hitting his head on the ground.

My response:

Please put your post in the "Malpractice Law" board. Yours is not a "Family Law" question, even though it involved your son.

I am very sorry for your loss.
