california: i sold 1000 shares of my company's stock -- $7,000 proceeds with about $3,000 gains.

for months i had planned to sell these shares this month to offset other losses, but unfortunately i sold it a week after rumors of future lost business were confirmed internally. an internal announcement today warned employees about selling shares.

am i in trouble? what can i do now?

should i buy back my 1000 shares tomorrow? the shares are actually worth more now than i sold them for last week.

signed,
worried

Officers of a corp are required to register their planned transactions. So, since you are not, I would just sit tight and keep my mouth shut.
