What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
Dad was recently awarded 50% legal custody after many years of me having 100% full legal and physical.
I understand that dad and I must agree on school, dr. etc.
One of our daughters is involved in a highly competitive sport (wrestling)which can often cost extra money for her to travel out of state for tournaments.
If dad agrees that she stay in this sport.... would it be reasonable for me to ask that he pay half of the expenses related?
Do I add this to the income and expense form so it can be added into child support or is this an extra expense I need to ask him about?

Extracurricular activities are not a mandatory add on in California. You would specifically have to ask for it to be included in your order and see if a judge would agree.

I would be VERY specific of the type of things you are asking to be split 50/50 e.g. uniforms, travel expenses, hotels, food while traveling, equipment, fees. If you are not, you may not be reimbursed for it. You may also want to be specific on HOW the items are paid for, i.e. at the time of purchase, or dad has 30 days after you submit a receipt to reimburse you. I mean, a judge may not order it in the first place but if you are asking, be very specific.

Im in CA and I asked for extracurriculars to be split and my judge said no. It depends on the judge.
