What is the name of your state? pa
In a shared income state, is the percentage share you are paying in child support the same as the percentage you would put down for the IRS or on a FAFSA form where it asks if you supply more than 50% of the support for a dependant?
The incomes I'm talking about are quite small, so if the custody papers say that the NCP is paying 54% of the child support (which is how the amounts are calculated in a shared income state), even though the actual costs the CP pays each month to feed/clothe/transport/house etc. the kid are more than twice the NPC's amount paid, is it accurate to put down that the NPC has a dependant that they provide more than 50% of the support for? Does each agency have it's own guidelines for determining what constitutes "support" because I doubt they mean an actual child support order since not all kids have those to go by?
Anyone?
