I live in New Zealand

I am after some help as I think I have a fair case and think my consumer rights have been breached, I (as a individual) made a purchase from a eCommerce site, I paid for the goods and received an invoice all via email.

After some time the company came back saying the price was wrong and they could no longer supply the goods at the price paid. Am I right in my understanding that the formation of contract is made at the point when I paid for the goods and therefore am entitled to the goods at the price on the invoice. I have asked the company this and they have said “The contract is not formed until the goods are shipped, standard IT company policy”
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have done further pricing on these prices.

I thank you in advance for your help

Are we doing international law now?

My response:

I have already complained about this, and our warning will be going up again tomorrow. During the revision of this site, somehow the "U.S. LAW, ONLY" warning was deleted.
