I tried to adopt alaska native child in 1992 and judge was going to give tribal court jurisdiction, (Indian Child Welfare Act). Tride said they would not allow it so we dropped it and got guardianship. Now the child is 10 yrs. old and we have two more siblings. Birth mother currently living with us and pregnant again! Birth mother never lived on reservation. Can we successfully get an adoption for these three children and provide closure and stability for us all? I don't want to go to court unless I am sure of an adoption. Birth mother is for adoption. And what would be an estamated cost? Thanks [email protected]
