What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Indiana

Does Indiana have a minimum that an estate has to be worth before it is required to go through Probate. My husband's name is on his mother's home so we are thinking this would not be included in the estate. Other than the home, her estate is probably worth less than $10,000.

We have been unsuccessful in getting her to have a Will made.

$25,000 but that depends on how your husband is listed on the deed to the home and it's value. The home could very well be required to go through probate which would most likely break the threshold amount

Is there a certain way he should be listed on the deed in order for the house not to be considered in the estate. The home is probably worth $150,000.

Yes, his name is the ONLY one on the deed or he is the sole beneficiary of the estate.

Instead of playing games, why don't you just tell us HOW his name is listed?
