Individual took car back

In Texas - I am purchasing a vehicle from an individual. We have a written contract. I was suppose to have the vehicle paid for by August 27th however was unable to do so. This past Friday I gave the woman $300 and she told me to have the rest of the money to her by Monday (9/11). I called her to inform her I would be unable to do this but would have the remaining money I owed her to her by Friday (tomorrow). I left her a message and never heard back from her. Today she came and got the vehicle and now will not give me the car nor my money back. She says she has already sold the vehicle to someone else. I have put quite a bit of money into this vehicle in the 9 weeks I have had it. Is there anything I can do to get the vehicle back? Can she take the vehicle this way without giving me my money back?
