california. would i win in small claims? an exboyfriend charged car services with my permission on my credit card. he promised to pay me back but has not. charges total about $400. is it worth my time to go to small claims? if i have receipts noting the type of cars services were rendered for, would that prove my case?

If you can show the court that the amount you allowed him to charge was a LOAN and that he agreed to repay you, you might win. If he could show that he never received the funds, or that they were a gift and not a loan, he might win.

Only you can determine the validity of your case, and whether it is 'worth your time'.
