I received an information subpoena from 10 yrs ago. The document was dated 10/2008 and scribbled out in pen with a new date for 12/2017. I want to know how binding this document really is. I obviously blew it off 10 yrs and nothing happened. What's makes this time any different? Also why was it scribbled out? Why wouldn't new papers be issued with new date?
