What is the name of your state?TX

I sold something that was copyrighted on eBay, I didn't realize it was copyrighted because it didn't have the companies name anywhere on the product.. and I also saw others selling the same thing. My listing was removed by eBay. I got an email from a decoy hired by a law firm asking to buy my product. I sold it to them, of course, not realizing it was a decoy. They asked if I had more, then I said I did. They sent me a money order and I shipped. Then I received a legal letter from the attorneys representing the company saying that I needed to stop selling, and to give them in writing all of my sales, where I got the item, how much I paid, my profit etc. I sent them a letter half answering the questions, now I've received another letter asking for more info. Do I need to keep cooperating with them?

Not enough info

What you failed to indicate was: were you doing anything wrong?

Were you copying the copyrighted material?
Does the copyrighted material have any restrictions on resale?
Did you acquire the materials through less than legal means?

If you did nothing wrong, then you can stop cooperating at any time. If however, you have some legal issues, you may want to get something in writing from the company indicating that they will not pursue legal action or try to take your money if you fully cooperate with them.

I wasn't the one who made the copies, I bought them off a website. Kept what I wanted, and sold what I could on eBay. My listing was removed because the owner of the copyright asked eBay to remove them. Thank you for your help.
