What is the name of your state? Texas

i've done some research into bankruptcy (13 and 7) and we are thinking of filing soon. (probably 13) if, during the repayment time, we receive an inheritance what will happen to it? i've read that if it is less than 180 days from the filing date, that money will go to a trustee to pay off our creditors. can they still take that money if it's over 180 days? i would appreciate any information, as it could make a difference in our decision.
