What is the name of your state? SC

Just over one year ago I was struck by a vehicle while riding my motorcycle. The vehicle driver fled the scene. I broke my back in two places among other injuries. I submitted a claim for the repair of my motorcycle and that claim was paid. I was on active duty with the military so I went through physical therapy and Doctor's visits without cost to me. I left the military and went back to my civilian employer and recently I had to leave my job due to the injuries sustained.

Can I make a claim against my motorcyle insurance company for the bodily damages now? I didn't before because there was no need. Please advise.

I suspect you already signed a release when you got the first pile of dough. Ask your agent if you, in fact, did sign a release for bodily injury claims.

seniorjudge, what's the recommended action for someone who's just been involved in an auto accident? Wait for the insurance co. to call back or go see a Dr. immediately?

I was involved in a motorcycle accident last night and have a large purple bruise on my leg. Since I walked away from the accident & refused medical treatment (a nice $452 bill; I called them up & asked just for fun), I hope this isn't seen as me not having any injuries. It would be a shame if someone was able to walk away from an accident & was injured, but couldn't sue for medical bills later if injuries were a result of the accident.
