URGENT!!! FUNERAL IS FRIDAY 5PM
I am having a difficult time getting response from California Parole, re.allowing my fiance to attend his father's funeral. He is currently in County Jail, but has a parole hold. He was not on parole for a violent crime. Current arrest is for drugs. I can't get hold of his parole officer, division supervisor, or anyone at the parole office for that matter. i HAVE LEFT 15 MESSAGES ON THEIR VOICE MAIL. NO CALLS HAVE BEEN RETURNED. Anyone have any ideas?? I have already tried to petition the judge who has jurisdiction in his case, but Parole has to agree. He has agreed to a chaperoned temporary release, only wants to be able to attend his fathers funeral. Who can I contact that is above supervisor of Parole office. Parole is in San Fernando, Calif.
Please respond.
Thanks

Current arrest is for drugs?? How many times has he been in jail? Your answer may lie there.

NO EXCUSE.....He is not entitled to attend his fathers funeral.

Thats what he gets for breaking the Law..

Stop being a wimp...criminals must be punished and this is punishment.

try to understand that the only way they will let him attend this funeral is out of sheer pity and remorse alone... and it doesn't sound like they're giving you that. A person in jail is there for a reason and will miss things such as birthdays, graduations, weddings, and unfortunately funerals too...

Just your friendly neighborhood DrunkN_MastR tellin ya the way it is, from a scumbag street cop point of view ;)

The time for the funeral is now past. He is now at rest as should be this post. It is sad, so very sad that when you make bad choices in life, you fail to think about what will happen in your absence. I hope that someone who reads this and contemplates something stupid and crime related, would think about perhaps not being able to attend a funeral, a wedding, a birth. Just remember this post and keep your life straight. The world is an unforgiving place and sometimes a sentence somewhere in the world will stick in someone's mind and change their lives. Just think about what would happen in your absence.

My response:

Ah, yes. Jimmy Stewart's "A Wonderful Life" comes to mind. . .
