I was involved in a car accident, which was not my fault. I suffered injury, whiplash (major). I still am unable to do things to the full extent that I did before the accident. My doctor has released me and I am not having any physical therapy at this time. The insurance company has offered a settlement, but I am afraid to accept. What if down the road 1-5-15 years I have major problems, because of lack of PT. Do I then pay the bills? Should I contact my Dr. and insist on PT now or could he write a letter?

Also, they expect me to pay some of the remaining bills out of the settlement. What is a common protocal when it comes to accident settlements?

Thanks

Hi. It sounds like you and I are kind of going through the same thing. I would be very interested in emailing with you to see what all you have tried and what treatments have worked. When was you mva? Mine was 3-2000. Still treating. Getting offered very small settlement. No dr. release yet. Still visiting/procedures, etc. If you don't mind telling, what are you being offered? I would be curious to know. My email adress is [email protected]
Looking forward to hearing from you! Shelby
