hi. i have a ? concerning submission of health insurance claims in illinois.
i am currently being charged for 2 bills that should have been covered by my insurance. the only reason that they were denied is because the providing agency did not submit the claim until 4 months after the time of service. by the time that they submitted the claims, my benefits for the year had been exhausted.
are they under any obligation to submit claims in a timely manner?
