I had front-end collision in GA, not at fault. The other driver's insurance has paid for body damage, but won't pay for engine service unless diagnosed by an auto shop to be caused by the impact. The engine idles at 4000 RPM, the battery won't hold a charge and the A/C leaks. These symptons were immediately apparent after the collision, however the field adjuster did not specify how the service claims were handled. The auto shop claims the malfunction is not physically apparent, thus can't be proven to be accident related. How can I get the insurance to cover the remaining damage to the car? They refuse to put anything in writing, or to let me review their claims documentation.
