I recently lost my job and insurance, my entire family was on it. My husbands company will put us on their insurance plan......if..... we pay all the premiums from their open enrollment to date. About 4 months worth of premiums, this seems illegal to me, we were covered under my insurance during that time and we are going to pay for coverage we didn't have??

Doesn't sound right to me either.

Question: Will the premiums for the insurance with your husband's employer come out of his paycheck pre-tax or post-tax? If post-tax, is there an option for pre-tax? It makes a difference to what, if any, recourse you have.
