I had to wait two weeks for the insurance company to research and then tell me that the other driver in an accident had no insurance coverage. They say he cancelled his policy over a year ago. Something doesn't sound right here. The police were involved and they collected the insurance info. He received no ticket for no insurance. He must have had proof of current insurance. I was incapacitated at the time...and in an ambulance..that's why the police took down all the info. His insurance company says that he refuses to talk to them. He hangs up his phone when they call. They have called his work, but are told he doesn't work there any more. What do I do? I understand that citizens pretty much don't have to pay if sued in Texas. They are protected by the law. What good is a judgement if he doesn't have to pay it?
