I was in an auto accident in which I did not have any auto insurance. The officer charged me with reckless driving and I paid the other driver to fix his vehicle. The officer never knew I did not have insurance. I went to court and was not charged for the accident. Can I now receive money back from the driver who I was in an accident with?
