I would like to take a life insurance policy out on my grandmother. She actually suggested the idea. I am her only grandchild and she practically raised me. How do I take a policy out on her? Does she have to do a physical or sign anything?

You start by contacting an insurance broker or carrier.

Yes, it is likely that she will have to sign the application forms, even if you are to be the owner of the policy. Whether or not she will have to take a physical, will depend on the size of the policy and the rules of the carrier.
