Intellectual Property?

I have a question concerning software. I have a program I purchased and installed on my personal computer, in this program is a button, the button is not marked, and it's functionality is not listed in the manual, or online. The makers of this software will not disclose the purpose of this button, or it's function. My question is, are they (legally) required to inform me of this button's function? I did buy the program.

Weird! Well, I would imagine they would because if they had a patent pending and any other issues like that, they WOULD NOT HAVE RELEASED IT.

As a consumer, you are entitled to know everything relevant about the product and its potential problems that could affect your computer.

The best idea and the cheapest, get some clerk at one of these computer stores to explain it to you. Give them a guilt trip for selling a product that has mysterious functions.
