Good morning all!!

My husband was unemployed for 8 months. Once he became unemployed, his attorney filed a petition for temporary modification of child support based on unemployment. Since he couldn't afford to send the regular amount of child support every month, he sent 28% of his unemployment. Well the judge essentially denied his petition so he owes the difference from what he should've paid and what he actually paid and said that he will owe 9% interest on the arrearage. He has since became employed and has been paying on time every month and been paying extra towards the arrearage. My question is, and I'm hoping someone on here will be able to help, how do we compute the interest? I've looked online and cannot find anything that says how to compute it. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places??

Thanks!
