I live in NC, but the employer sponsoring my application is located in VA. I recently submitted SF86 via e-QIP.
I was fully aware that my poor credit history would negatively impact my chances. A couple of days later, I was notified that I had been denied for interim clearance, and that the employer is no longer going forward w/ the clearance process.
I felt the circumstances that attributed to my poor credit history, my attempts to resolve/repay debt, and non-habitual offense would mitigate this guideline, but I won't even have the opportunity to explain or present documentation since it won't be investigated.
