What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
My problem is, my girlfriend signed a contract with a company online to help her market her company online, she paid $799.00 up front, plus $49.00 per month for several months, the company had told her they would get her top rankings with google, first place to be exact, when they build her ads, they placed a fictitious phone number in the ad, this caused concerned, plus they never came through on their end of the contract, my girlfriend canceled their contract yesterday, today they sent her a letter saying they will sue her for thousands of dollars plus ruin her credit, if she does not continue paying them monthly, my girlfriend just wants out of her contract, plus control of the domain name for her business which she has owned for 14 years, and proof that they are no longer using a false phone number attached to her business. What can she legally do?
