What is the name of your state? Illinois

A person in Ohio used to participate in a web forum that I used to run. On numerous occasions, the person had to be "moderated" because kids participated and the images and content that the perosn posted were inappropriate. I no longer run the forum, it has been shut down.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Move forward one year. This person, who is a graphic artist, has " photoshopped" my face and that of a friend. This images portrays us as engaging in the act of sodomy.

Since I am in the financial business and since numerous associates may come across this image, I would like to see the image taken down and to tell the person to cease and disist from posting my image on the internet without my authorization.

The image is posted on Yahoo Groups and is in an adult only group. Nevertheless, I do not want my face plastered on any image with a pornogrpahic nature.

I have complained to the abuse section of yahoo groups, providing them with the image header, etc. But to no avail.

The other pictured person lives in the state of Michigan.

I have a family and I've never done anything to harm this person except to insist that while I ran my forums, the content would be children appropriate.

What can I do?

Thanks.

There are thousands of posts similar to yours so I have prepared a standard answer:

Get a lawyer.

Invest $20K and three years.

Sue the bad people for defamation.

If you win, expect them to keep doing it.

If you lose, expect them to keep doing it.

Stand by for other opinions.

Well, I am willing to spend the money to file for the sole purpose of
"intimidation". I know the person doing it (from dealing with him for years online) and I believe he will back down
when faced with the prospect of getting legal defense in two other states.
He's not just a jerk, he's also a a bit of a wuss. He's also poor.

Getting a lawyer to write a cease and desist letter should about do it.
And my Michigan friend will be happy to do the same.

I already knew from searches that this was not a "winnable" matter, but
having friends who did law degrees while I was doing different grad degrees does help. The beer was worth it, I guess!
Thanks. ;)
