What is the name of your state? WI
I have recently been attacked by a person in a chat lobby of a online poker web site. He had hounded my for several months atempting to get my e-mail address, and after repeated refusals on my part, he now spends hours a day posting horrid things about me. Going on and on that I am a man pretending to be a woman(I am indeed a woman), and describing nasty sexual things that he say I have done on 'cam' with him and others as well(don't even have a 'cam'). He has also sent out e-mails, and had instant message chats with several people all to the same effect.

My question is do I have any legal recourse against this person? I have talked to suport for the site, and they have said that there's nothing that they can do if he doesn't log off.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Thanks for the quick responses!!

No he did not use my real name, just my user name. No one knows anyones real names.

As for damages, I guess that is why I have posted this question here, I'm not sure if there are any. I know that he is atempting to cause me harm mentally, and has said as much.

So two very good points.

Thanks
