What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania.

Dont know if im in the right section but here we go.....

Had an internet "friendship" go bad some time back. I was stupid enough to let my emotions get the better of me and pretty much threatened the girl with bodily harm (please, no lectures....of course i didnt really mean it). But i did say it and i believe that it is a federal crime (a threat over the internet). BTW...the email reciepient is from canada which is also where the email was sent. Its been a few months since ive sent it and weve had no contact since then. Its all behind me except of course that this chick in canada has a threatining email from me and i have no idea what she might do.

I guess my question is what is a worst case scenario?? Is there a statute of limitations for something like this?? In two years will the police show up on my doorstep with a copy of a two year old email??? Any info on this kind of crime would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Send her a nice, sappy, apology for the extremely stupid comments you made while distraught. Wish her the best and hope she takes your second email more seriously than the first.
